Qualifications:
Earning the Kasasa rate and ATM fee refunds is easy. Simply do the following each monthly qualification cycle:
- Have at least 12 Debit MasterCard® point of sale transactions post and clear
- Have at least 1 Direct Deposit or 1 ACH debit post and clear
- Retrieve monthly Online Statements via Online Banking (a valid email address is required)
If for some reason you don't qualify for a given cycle, don't worry—you still earn our base rate of 0.05% APY* and you can get the Kasasa rate back the very next month.
Minimum to open account is $50. Annual Percentage Yield (APY) accurate as of 8/1/11. Rate tiers are as follows: 2.50% APY paid on balances of $.01 - $20,000 and 0.50% APY applies to balances over $20,000 if qualifications are met during the monthly qualification cycle. 0.05% APY applies to all balances if monthly qualifications are not met. All balances will earn 2.50% APY – 0.50% APY if monthly qualifications are met during the monthly qualification cycle. Rates may change after the account is opened. Fees may reduce earnings. The interest earned on your Kasasa Giving™ account will be donated to the charity selected. Charitable contributions are made on all debit card point of sale transactions over $10 that post and clear the account during the monthly qualification cycle. Qualifying transactions must post and clear the account during the monthly qualification cycle. Transactions may take one or more business days to post and clear an account after the date a transaction is made. ATM transactions do not count as qualifying transactions. Intra-bank transfers do not count as qualifying ACH transactions. These donations are potentially tax deductible, so please consult your tax professional. The charity is responsible for providing donation receipts for tax reporting purposes if applicable.
